Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Operate VMC machines independently as per production plan and drawings.
Perform machine setting, job loading/unloading, and tool offset adjustments.
Read and understand engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
Ensure dimensional accuracy of components using measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge, etc.
Conduct in-process inspection and maintain quality standards.
Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or breakdowns.
Maintain production records, tool usage, and inspection reports.
Ensure proper coolant level, lubrication, and basic machine maintenance.
Follow safety procedures, 5S, and company quality standards.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams for smooth operations.
Minimize rejection, rework, and machine downtime.

Required Skills

Hands-on experience in operating VMC machines.
Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi.
Basic understanding of G-Code & M-Code.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and GD&T basics.
Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters.
Familiarity with measuring instruments and inspection methods.
Understanding of safety and quality practices in manufacturing.

Educational Qualification

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade.
