Purchase Manager -Nyassa
Overview
Nyassa is a premium bath & body brand that manufactures and retails products such as handmade soaps, lotions, bath salts, gifts, and home fragrances. Our business operates in two key areas:
Retail – selling through our online channels and partner stores, and
Corporate Gifting – delivering curated, fragrance-rich gift solutions with quick turnaround requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material Procurement: Source natural oils, butters, fragrances, and other inputs for core bath & body manufacturing, ensuring authenticity, quality, and compliance.
Packaging & Gift Material Procurement: Source bottles, jars, boxes, labels, soap wraps, and sustainable packaging for regular SKUs, as well as unique and customizable materials for corporate gift sets and seasonal collections.
Vendor Management & Negotiation: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers across raw materials, packaging, and gifting categories; negotiate favorable pricing and terms.
Retail & Corporate Alignment: Balance long-term procurement planning for retail products with quick sourcing agility for corporate gifting and festival-driven projects.
Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with production, inventory, and sales teams to forecast demand, avoid stockouts, and ensure smooth operations.
Logistics & Timelines: Monitor supplier deliveries to ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) fulfillment; coordinate transport for both retail shipments and corporate gift consignments.
Cross-Functional Support: Partner with design and marketing and factory teams to develop unique packaging concepts and sourcing solutions for campaigns and launches.
Reporting: Prepare procurement reports highlighting cost savings, supplier performance, and KPIs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Min 2 to 3 years’ proven experience in procurement within FMCG, cosmetics, or personal care industries.
Strong understanding of raw material sourcing (ingredients, fragrances) and printing / gifting procurement.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
Ability to handle fast-paced corporate gifting requirements alongside planned retail procurement.
Familiarity with regulatory standards will be preferred (FDA/BIS Compliance).
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement tools.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
