Packing Supervisor

1. Supervision of Packing Operations

• Oversee daily packing activities, ensuring smooth workflow in all shifts.

• Assign tasks to packing staff and monitor performance and productivity.

• Ensure correct product labeling, sealing, and packing materials as per standard requirements.

• Check that packed goods meet company quality and hygiene standards before dispatch.

2. Manpower & Shift Management

• Prepare daily manpower allocation as per workload and shift plan.

• Maintain discipline and attendance of packing team members.

• Ensure proper handover during shift changes and maintain shift-wise packing reports.

3. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure packing is done as per product specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to address packing-related quality issues.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the packing area.

4. Material & Inventory Handling

• Monitor availability of packing materials (cartons, tapes, labels, etc.) and raise requisitions on time.

• Prevent wastage of packing materials and maintain stock records.

• Report any material shortages or damages immediately to the production and store department.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily packing reports (output, manpower, downtime, and wastage).

• Ensure accurate record-keeping for traceability and audit purposes.

• Submit daily/weekly packing performance updates to management.

6. Coordination

• Liaise with production, dispatch, maintenance, and quality departments for smooth operations.

• Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods as per dispatch schedule.

• Coordinate with maintenance for any equipment or machine breakdowns in the packing area.

7. Safety & Training

• Ensure all packing staff follow safety rules and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Conduct basic training for new workers on packing procedures and safety guidelines.

• Report any accidents or safety hazards to the management immediately.
