CNC Machine Operator

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Nesting Engineer for our electrical panel fabrication unit. The candidate will be responsible for preparing optimized nesting layouts for laser CNC cutting machines, generating CNC programs, reducing material wastage, and coordinating with production departments to ensure smooth fabrication operations. The candidate should have experience in AutoCAD, DXF preparation, sheet metal fabrication, and laser CNC nesting software such as CypNest, SigmaNEST, RADAN, or ProNest.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare nesting layouts for laser cutting operations

• Generate CNC programs for laser CNC machines

• Optimize sheet utilization to minimize scrap and wastage

• Perform common-line and chain cutting optimization

• Prepare production-ready DXF files from AutoCAD drawings

• Review and correct engineering drawings before nesting

• Coordinate with design, laser, bending, welding, and assembly departments

• Plan effective sheet utilization and remnant reuse

• Support laser CNC machine operators

• Maintain nesting reports and CNC program backups

Required Skills

• AutoCAD

• DXF/DWG handling

• CypNest / SigmaNEST / RADAN / ProNest

Educational Qualification

Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
