1. Procurement & Inventory Control:
· Coordinate with the purchase department for the procurement of spare parts,
consumables, and tools.
· Based on site requirements, generate enquiries from various suppliers, make
comparisons and coordinate with procurement of release of PO & till supply to sites.
· Identify obsolete or underutilized machinery and recommend disposal or replacement.
2. Manpower Management:
· Supervise a team of site engineers for DPR, mechanics, operators, and technicians.
· Ensure proper training, deployment, and performance monitoring of staff.
3. Maintenance & Repairs:
· Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
· Supervise repair work, overhaul, and servicing.
· Maintain downtime logs and work to reduce machine breakdowns.
4. Plant & Equipment Management:
· Plan, schedule, and monitor the deployment and operation of all construction machinery and equipment across sites.
· Ensure timely mobilization and demobilization of machinery.
· Maintain an updated inventory of all machinery and equipment.
5. Budgeting & Cost Control:
· Monitor operational costs and develop cost-reduction strategies.
· Track machine utilization efficiency and fuel consumption.
6. Coordination & Reporting:
· Coordinate with project managers and site engineers for machine requirements.
· Generate reports on machine availability, downtime, and performance.
· Liaise with OEMs and service providers for AMC and warranty claims.
7. Compliance:
· Ensure all machinery complies with safety norms and regulatory standards.
· Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
· Maintain documentation for statutory compliance (RTO, pollution, fitness, etc.).
