Job Summary:
The Dispatch & Logistics Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end dispatch operations, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of apparel goods from the warehouse to the respective destinations. This role ensures compliance with quality standards, proper documentation, and efficient transportation planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage daily dispatch schedules based on order priorities.
Coordinate with internal departments (sales, production, warehouse) for smooth dispatch flow.
Oversee packaging, labeling, and documentation (invoice, E-way bill, delivery challan).
Select and coordinate with transporters, courier partners, and third-party logistics providers.
Track shipments and ensure on-time deliveries to customers and retail outlets.
Maintain and update dispatch records, shipping logs, and inventory movement data.
Handle reverse logistics, returns, and exchange management.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of goods with minimal damage.
Verify dispatch accuracy and perform final quality checks before shipment.
Monitor and control transportation costs while optimizing route planning.
Comply with all statutory requirements and company SOPs related to dispatch and logistics.
Support the warehouse team in inventory management and stock audits when needed.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of dispatch procedures and logistics operations.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP tools.
Good understanding of GST, E-way bills, and other shipping-related documentation.
Ability to handle multiple logistics vendors and transport arrangements.
Proficiency in MS Excel and shipment tracking tools.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any relevant field.
2–4 years of experience in dispatch/logistics operations, preferably in the apparel or retail industry.
Experience in working with transporters, courier agencies, and warehouse teams.
