We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Team Lead to manage the procurement activities for our FMCG operations. The ideal candidate will oversee a team of buyers, manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods to meet production and business requirements.
Lead and supervise the procurement team, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.
Develop and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers for FMCG-specific materials (e.g., packaging, ingredients, logistics services).
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure maximum value and quality.
Monitor stock levels and forecasts in coordination with production and inventory teams.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry standards.
Implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
Analyze market trends and competitor pricing strategies to support decision-making.
Maintain accurate procurement records and reports (purchase orders, supplier evaluations, etc.).
Coordinate with QA, logistics, and finance for seamless supply chain management.
Train and mentor junior purchase executives in best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within the FMCG sector.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Good understanding of sourcing and procurement techniques.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Excel.
Knowledge of packaging and raw material sourcing in FMCG is a strong advantage.
