The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of products and materials. This role involves managing transportation, warehousing, inventory control, vendor coordination, and team leadership. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to streamline logistical processes in a fast-paced environment.
Plan, implement, and monitor the overall logistics strategy to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Supervise logistics operations including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.
Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Oversee fleet operations, manage transportation partners, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and forecast future logistics needs.
Negotiate contracts with external logistics providers and monitor their performance.
Develop and implement KPIs and dashboards to track operational performance.
Lead and manage a team of logistics coordinators, drivers, and warehouse staff.
Handle logistics-related issues and resolve customer complaints when necessary.
Ensure health and safety standards are followed in all logistics processes.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in logistics, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
