Parcel Handling & Delivery
Collect parcels from warehouse/dispatch center and ensure safe loading.
Deliver parcels to customers within assigned routes and timelines.
Handle parcels carefully to avoid damage during transit.
Weight & Verification
Verify parcel details (weight, size, barcodes, invoice numbers) before dispatch.
Cross-check with documentation to ensure accuracy.
Report discrepancies (wrong weight/label mismatch) to the supervisor.
Documentation & Proof of Delivery
Maintain delivery records, invoices, and acknowledgment receipts.
Obtain customer signatures/digital confirmation as proof of delivery.
Update delivery status in handheld devices/apps in real time.
Customer Interaction
Communicate politely with customers during parcel handover.
Collect payments (COD – Cash on Delivery) if required and deposit securely.
Resolve basic queries related to delivery status or escalate issues.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure parcels are delivered as per company guidelines and legal requirements.
Follow safety standards while driving/handling packages.
Adhere to delivery timelines, traffic rules, and company policies.
Reporting & Coordination
Report daily deliveries, returns, and undelivered parcels.
Coordinate with warehouse/logistics team for re-dispatch or failed deliveries.
Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel, and delivery expenses (if applicable).
