Store Inventory Maintenance
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials. Ensure proper stock levels are maintained to meet production requirements. Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification. Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) methods as applicable.
2. Material Handling: Ensure safe unloading, storage, and handling of materials. Properly label and store items to avoid confusion or damage. Coordinate with production and purchase teams for timely material availability.
3. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain stock registers and update ERP/Inventory management software. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports. Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Issue Slips, and other necessary documents.
4. Coordination with Departments: Work closely with the procurement, production, and quality departments. Follow up with suppliers for delivery schedules and pending orders. Coordinate with dispatch for timely delivery of finished goods.
5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that the received goods meet quality standards before acceptance. Report any damage or discrepancy in materials to the concerned department immediately.
6. Safety & Compliance: Maintain store hygiene and follow safety protocols. Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements related to inventory.
7. Asset & Tools Management (if applicable): Maintain records of tools, machinery parts, and consumables issued to various departments. Track returnable items and ensure timely recovery.
