We are looking for a Fleet Manager to join our team for one of our client. This role involves managing storage, inventory, and distribution in the warehouse. You will be closely working with the supply chain team and ensure that goods are stored and dispatched efficiently. This position offers ₹15000 - ₹25000 with growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fleet Coordination & Dispatch
Plan, schedule, and assign vehicles and drivers based on operational requirements.
Monitor vehicle movement through GPS and tracking systems to ensure timely delivery.
Manage route planning for optimal efficiency and cost savings.
Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring customer-service standards are met.
2. Driver Management
Brief drivers and Crews on routes, delivery instructions, and safety protocols.
Ensure proper driver shift planning and compliance with working-hour regulations.
Address driver concerns, performance issues, and provide operational support.
Drive recruitment strategies from various states to mitigate the future business requirement.
3. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance
Schedule regular vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Maintain fleet documentation (insurance, permits, registrations, fitness certificates).
Ensure vehicles comply with company policies, safety standards, and government regulations.
4. Operational Monitoring & Reporting
Track fuel consumption, mileage, idling, and other performance indicators.
Investigate route deviations, delays, and incidents, and propose corrective actions.
Maintain records of trip logs, delivery reports, and fleet expenses.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational performance reports.
5. Cost & Resource Optimization
Monitor fleet operating costs (fuel, repair, tolls, breakdowns).
Identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.
Manage vendor relationships (workshops, fuel suppliers, tracking service providers).
6. Customer Service & Communication
Act as a point of contact for customers regarding shipment status.
Resolve delivery-related issues, delays, or customer complaints promptly.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
Relevant certifications (Fleet Management, Logistics Operations) are an advantage.
Experience
1–5 years of experience in fleet operations, transportation management, or logistics.
Familiarity with GPS tracking tools and fleet management software
Technical Skills
Knowledge of logistics operations, route planning, and vehicle maintenance.
Proficiency in MS Excel, tracking systems, and transport management systems (TMS).
Understanding of regulatory compliance related to transportation and fleet.
