Key Responsibilities
Dispatch Planning & Coordination
Organize and schedule daily meal dispatches based on production output and client delivery timelines.
Coordinate with kitchen, packaging, and delivery teams to ensure seamless handover of meals.
Monitor routing and delivery schedules using GPS tracking and logistics software.
Real-Time Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Track live status of deliveries and proactively resolve delays or routing issues.
Communicate with delivery personnel to ensure proper handling and timely delivery of meals.
Escalate operational issues (e.g., vehicle breakdowns, incorrect orders) promptly to relevant teams.
Documentation & Compliance
Verify dispatch documentation, including quantity, quality checklists, packaging standards, and delivery logs.
Ensure all dispatch records are updated in the system daily and shared with relevant departments.
Maintain hygiene and temperature compliance checks during dispatch, especially for perishable items.
Cross-Department Coordination
Liaise with kitchen managers, inventory controllers, and client servicing teams to coordinate last-minute changes.
Communicate client-specific delivery instructions or preferences clearly to delivery staff.
Sustainability & Efficiency Focus
Support vehicle optimization strategies to reduce fuel usage and emissions (e.g., route planning, load consolidation).
Encourage eco-friendly practices in dispatch (e.g., reusable crates, minimal packaging waste during transit).
Ensure packaging used aligns with Food Whisperer’s recyclable/compostable standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Background
High school diploma or equivalent required; Diploma or Bachelor's in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with logistics/delivery tracking systems or dispatch management software.
Basic knowledge of Excel, GPS systems, and handheld devices used for delivery verification.
Understanding of cold chain logistics and food transport standards (a plus).
Soft Skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills for coordination and issue resolution.
Calm under pressure with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Attention to detail in verifying orders, hygiene standards, and documentation.
