Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Centre Head to lead the operations of our pathology diagnostic lab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the overall functioning of the lab, ensuring high standards of customer service, regulatory compliance, staff performance, and operational efficiency. This is a leadership role that requires a blend of healthcare knowledge, people management, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the diagnostic center, including sample collection, testing, and report dispatch.

• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.

• Maintain hygiene, safety, and service excellence across the facility.

• Coordinate with collection centres, logistics and lab teams for timely sample transportation and result delivery.

Customer Service

• Drive a customer-centric culture with a focus on client satisfaction and experience.

• Handle escalations, grievances, and ensure resolution within defined timelines.

• Monitor feedback and implement improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and supervise front-desk staff, technicians, and housekeeping personnel.

• Allocate responsibilities and ensure staffing adequacy.

• Conduct performance reviews and recommend training or career development initiatives.

Sales & Business Development

• Drive footfall and revenue through promotional activities and local partnerships (clinics, hospitals, doctors).

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales targets, test volumes, and cost control.

• Support corporate tie-ups, health camps, and community outreach programs.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure the center complies with NABL/NABH or other regulatory guidelines.

• Maintain proper documentation, licensing, and audit readiness.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management on performance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare, Medical Lab Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in diagnostic lab operations, hospital administration, or healthcare management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Knowledge of pathology lab workflows and regulations (e.g., NABL, AERB).

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and healthcare management systems.
