The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards of the kitchen and service areas, assisting in food preparation, and ensuring smooth operations of the restaurant or banquet service. The role includes supporting chefs and servers, cleaning utensils, and maintaining stock of kitchen supplies.
Ensure all kitchen utensils, dishes, glasses, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, pantry, and service areas at all times.
Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks when required.
Handle all cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and efficiently.
Collect and dispose of waste, ensuring proper segregation and hygiene.
Refill and restock kitchen supplies (plates, cutlery, glasses, etc.) as needed.
Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing and storage areas.
Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
Follow all hygiene and safety standards as per company policy.
Support the service team during busy hours or events if required.
