Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to assist in the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen staff in food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation (e.g., chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients).

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas.

• Unpack, organize, and store deliveries and food supplies.

• Dispose of waste and recyclables according to guidelines.

• Refill supplies (e.g., napkins, sauces, condiments) as needed.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen supervisors or chefs.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset but not required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot, and physically demanding environment.

• Good communication skills and a team player attitude.

• Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

• Manual dexterity and ability to handle kitchen tools and equipment.
