Job Purpose

To design, deliver, and assess impactful soft skills training modules that prepare BPL youth for job readiness and successful employment, with a strong preference for candidates having experience from the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive soft skills training sessions focused on communication, teamwork, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and confidence-building.

• Customize training materials and lesson plans for underprivileged (BPL) youth to meet employability goals.

• Facilitate engaging classroom sessions, role plays, group discussions, and simulation exercises to boost workplace competencies.

• Conduct pre-training assessments, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to every participant.

• Integrate real-world retail industry scenarios and standards into training, if applicable.

• Maintain student attendance and engagement reports; support project documentation as per NGO and donor requirements.

• Coordinate with placement and mobilization teams to align training with job opportunities.

• Mentor, motivate and counsel trainees throughout the training lifecycle.

• Participate in outreach activities, including induction sessions, job fairs, and employer meets as needed.

• Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in soft skills and youth skill development.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized university; certification in training, skill development, or instructional design preferred.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in soft skills training, preferably with BPL youth, NGOs, or skilling programs.

• Prior job experience in the retail industry is highly desirable and an added advantage.

• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

• Fluent communication skills in Hindi, English, and local languages.

• Positive attitude, commitment to social causes, and ability to motivate youth from diverse backgrounds.

• Tech-savvy—comfortable with online teaching tools and basic MS Office/Google Suites.
