Company Overview
The Market Development team is our direct link to customers and a key driver of revenue. The team includes sub-functions such as Renewals, High Value Memberships (HVM), Hubs, and Retail Centres. Though spread across multiple locations, the team shares one common focus: "What's the sale for today?"
Role Overview
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of sales advisors who make outbound calls and close membership sales. To succeed in this role, you should be persuasive, results-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate is a product expert with exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure quality control of calls made by team members.
Drive achievement of daily and monthly sales & collection targets.
Manage team rosters, attendance, and leaves for effective manpower utilization.
Allocate telecalling lists to advisors and monitor progress.
Provide regular performance feedback, progress reports, and development inputs to the team.
Conduct daily briefings before the shift begins.
Lead re-training initiatives to enhance advisor performance.
Maintain accurate sales and account-related reports.
Ensure daily deposition of payments collected.
Track and analyze competition trends (process performance, schemes, offers, etc.).
Participate in recruitment (shortlisting and initial screening of candidates).
Conduct performance reviews and appraisals for team members.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Bachelor's Degree (mandatory).
Minimum 2 years of experience in tele-marketing/inside sales, including:
Objection handling
Sales closing techniques
Customer communication
Proven team handling experience.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good-to-Have (Brownie Points)
Prior experience in direct marketing and local promotions.
Knowledge of the matrimonial industry.
