Job Title: Automotive Technician / Car Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and manual troubleshooting.

• Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.

• Conduct vehicle inspections and road tests to verify repair accuracy.

• Maintain detailed service records and update repair orders.

• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues and solutions.

• Stay up-to-date with automotive technologies and best practices.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and comply with safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or automotive certification (e.g., ASE) is preferred.

• Proven experience as a car or automotive technician (typically 2+ years).

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, HVAC, electrical).

• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to lift heavy parts and tools and work in various physical positions.

Preferred Skills:

• ASE Certification or manufacturer-specific certifications (Toyota, Ford, GM, etc.).

• Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles.

• Knowledge of dealership management systems (DMS) or service software.
