Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technician to join our team for the installation, maintenance, and support of Smart Meters, focusing on RF (Radio Frequency) and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies. The role involves on-site meter installation, troubleshooting, network configuration, and ensuring full integration with backend systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission smart electricity meters at customer premises in compliance with safety and technical standards.
Configure and test RF communication modules and ensure stable network connectivity (e.g., RF mesh, LoraWAN, NB-IoT, LTE-M).
Conduct site surveys to assess signal strength and optimal meter placement.
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for communication failures or device malfunctions.
Ensure proper IoT integration and data transmission to head-end systems (HES) and Meter Data Management System (MDMS).
Perform firmware upgrades and remote diagnostics as needed.
Complete installation reports and maintain accurate records in mobile or web-based applications.
Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE and adherence to electrical installation standards.
Provide support during audits and inspections.
Required Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication or related field.
Fresher/ 0–3 years of experience in smart meter installation or field service engineering.
Hands-on experience with RF communication protocols and IoT devices.
Familiarity with AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) systems is preferred.
Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and use diagnostic tools.
Basic understanding of IP networking and wireless communication principles.
Bike Mandatory along with Driving License
