A Splicing Machine Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring the proper function and maintenance of fiber optic splicing machines and related equipment. This involves troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating splicing machines, as well as providing technical support to splicing technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues with splicing machines, including mechanical, electrical, and optical components.
Calibration and Maintenance:
Regularly calibrate splicing machines and associated equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Technical Support:
Provide technical guidance and support to splicing technicians on the use and maintenance of splicing machines.
Installation and Commissioning:
Install and commission new splicing machines and related equipment, ensuring proper setup and operation.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and other maintenance activities.
Safety:
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures when working with splicing machines and related equipment.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory of spare parts and tools for splicing machines.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong understanding of electronics and mechanics. A technical diploma or degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Experience working with splicing machines and related equipment, including troubleshooting and repair.
Skills:

Certifications:
