Reporting To: Centre In-Charge / Biomedical Engineer
To ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment system used in the dialysis unit, in compliance with clinical and technical standards.
Operate, monitor, and maintain the RO water treatment system as per prescribed standards.
Conduct routine checks of pre-treatment units including softeners, filters, UV lamps, and chemical dosing systems.
Perform scheduled cleaning and disinfection of the RO system, tanks, and pipelines.
Maintain daily records of RO system parameters including conductivity, flow rates, pH, and temperature.
Ensure RO water quality meets AAMI/ISO standards for dialysis use.
Support the dialysis team during machine calibration and troubleshooting where water-related issues are concerned.
Coordinate with vendors for preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs as needed.
Maintain inventory of spare parts, consumables, and cleaning agents.
Document all technical maintenance activities and submit timely reports to the Biomedical/Technical Head.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and biomedical waste management protocols within the water treatment area.
ITI/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing / Water Treatment or relevant field.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating RO systems in healthcare or dialysis settings preferred.
Basic knowledge of water treatment chemistry, mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance.
