We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PCB Repair Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in various electronic devices. This role requires strong knowledge of electronics, soldering techniques, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Assemble and solder electronic components on printed circuit boards according to engineering specifications.
Inspect and test PCBs for defects using testing equipment and tools.
Troubleshoot and repair faulty PCBs, including replacing components and reworking solder joints.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
Perform visual inspections using magnification tools to identify defects or non-compliance with standards.
Maintain accurate records of testing, repairs, and modifications.
Operate equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering irons, and reflow ovens.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IPC-A-610 for soldering and assembly.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve assembly processes.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in PCB assembly, testing, or repair.
Proficient in hand soldering and use of PCB testing tools.
Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit diagrams.
Attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
IPC Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Work is typically performed in an electronics lab or manufacturing environment.
