Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose, repair, and calibrate biomedical devices (e.g., monitors, ventilators, diagnostic machines) and general facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
Preventive Care: Conduct routine inspections and planned maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
Compliance: Ensure all work meets strict safety, regulatory (like NABH, FDA), and hospital standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and clinical staff to understand needs and provide training.
Installation & Setup: Assist with the installation and testing of new medical equipment.
Inventory: Manage spare parts and supplies for equipment.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, with specific knowledge of medical equipment.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking to troubleshoot complex issues.
Communication: Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff.
Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy for calibration and documentation.
Education: Relevant technical certification or degree (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Electronics).
Work Environment
Hospitals, clinics, diagnostic labs, or production facilities.
Requires responding to emergency calls and potentially working shifts or outside normal hours.
