you will be a key member of our safety and compliance team, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs to ensure a safe and secure work environment
You will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Program Management:Develop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices and legal requirements
Continuously assess and improve safety measures to reduce workplace hazards
Safety Compliance:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, codes, and standards
Stay up to date with changes in safety laws and regulations and adapt policies accordingly
Incident Reporting and Investigation:Establish procedures for reporting safety incidents and near misses
Conduct thorough investigations of incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
Safety Training:Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees, contractors, and site visitors
Monitor and track training compliance and effectiveness
Emergency Preparedness:Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first-aid protocols, and disaster recovery plans
Conduct drills and exercises to test emergency preparedness
Safety Audits and Inspections:Perform routine safety audits and inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards
Ensure corrective actions are taken to address safety deficiencies
Safety Communication:Promote a culture of safety by facilitating safety meetings, communicating safety updates, and encouraging employees to actively participate in safety initiatives
PPE Management:Manage and ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all employees and contractors
Documentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive safety records, incident reports, and safety-related documentation
Generate reports and analyze safety metrics to provide insights and recommendations to management
Team Collaboration:Collaborate with department heads, managers, and safety committees to foster a collective commitment to safety
Lead cross-functional teams in safety improvement projects
