Position Title: Pre-Primary Teacher
Department: Early Childhood Education
Reports To: Principal / Head of Kindergarten
The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The teacher designs age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based and experiential learning methods.
Plan and deliver interactive lessons focusing on literacy, numeracy, art, music, and life skills.
Foster curiosity, creativity, and independence in each child through hands-on learning experiences.
Maintain a warm, caring, and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child’s individual growth.
Observe, assess, and document students’ developmental progress and share updates with parents regularly.
Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and respect among children.
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school management.
Ensure classroom safety, hygiene, and discipline at all times.
Decorate and organize the classroom to create a cheerful and stimulating learning atmosphere.
Participate in school events, workshops, and professional development programs.
Uphold the school’s mission, values, and educational philosophy.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education / Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) / Montessori Training.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience working with pre-primary or kindergarten students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative, patient, and passionate about working with young children.
Ability to manage classroom routines and child behavior effectively.
