Parking Attendant / Parking Staff
AreaTasks Parking Operations• Direct vehicles to available parking slots
• Maintain smooth flow of traffic entering and exiting parking areas
• Monitor and control entry/exit barriers, gates, ticketing machines etc.
• Ensure parking signage is clear and visible Customer Service• Greet visitors arriving at the parking area
• Help visitors locate parking spots
• Answer parking-related queries (rates, duration, location)
• Assist visitors in stressful situations (crowded entry/exit, special assistance, etc.)Payments & Ticketing• Issue parking tickets or validate passes
• Collect parking fees if applicable
• Operate payment machines / POS terminals or manual payment systems
• Maintain accurate records of tickets issued/payments collectedSafety & Security• Ensure safe driving inside the parking area (observing speed limits, avoiding accidents)
• Monitor for unauthorised parking or violations
• Report any suspicious activities or accidents to the supervisor
• Ensure equipment (barriers, gates, lights) are in working orderMaintenance & Cleanliness• Keep parking areas clean and free from obstructions/trash
• Inspect for any damage or hazards (potholes, broken lights, faulty machines) and report for repair
• Assist in minor maintenance work if neededOperational Duties• Open / close parking gates as per schedule
• Assist during peak hours, events, days with high traffic
• Coordinate with mall security, operations, and housekeeping teams
• Shift-wise handover of cash, tickets, reports etc.
Minimum education: High School or equivalent
Basic numeracy (handling money, ticketing)
Good communication skills; polite and customer-friendly attitude
Physical fitness: ability to stand/walk for long periods; may need occasional lifting or manual work
Attention to detail; observing safety, spotting violations etc.
Ability to work in shifts (morning / evening / weekends / holidays)
Basic familiarity with POS / payment machines is a plus
