The Skill Development Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting on skill development projects under government schemes such as DDU-GKY, UPSDM, and PMKVY. The role involves end-to-end management, compliance with government SOPs, team supervision, training quality control, placement monitoring, and reporting.
Oversee implementation of projects under DDU-GKY, UPSDM, and PMKVY schemes.
Ensure adherence to respective scheme guidelines and SOPs.
Monitor progress and ensure timely achievement of mobilization, training, assessment, and placement targets.
Maintain records and ensure timely reporting on Kaushal Bharat (DDU-GKY) and Skill India Portal (PMKVY/UPSDM).
Strategize and supervise mobilization activities in coordination with field teams.
Ensure that the training curriculum follows NSQF levels and sector skill standards.
Conduct regular center visits for monitoring trainer performance, attendance, and student engagement.
Ensure job placement support for trained candidates through employer engagement.
Supervise placement tracking and documentation as per scheme requirements.
Ensure minimum placement percentage as per guidelines and manage retention support.
Maintain scheme-wise documentation including candidate files, assessment records, placement proof, and tracking.
Ensure readiness for audit, inspection, and verification by government bodies.
Handle project queries and grievance redressal in compliance with SOP.
Liaise with Government departments (MoRD, NSDC, UPSDM, SSDM, etc.), Sector Skill Councils, Assessment Agencies.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Coordinate with internal departments – IT, Accounts, Admin, HR – for smooth operations.
Graduate/Postgraduate in Management, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
Knowledge of NSQF and government skilling ecosystem is essential.
Certification in DDU-GKY or similar schemes is preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing large-scale skill development projects.
Must have hands-on experience with DDU-GKY, UPSDM, or PMKVY schemes.
