Sales Executive - Job Description
As a Sales Executive in our logistics company, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, promoting our services, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. You will play a vital role in driving revenue growth and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition:
o Identify and target potential clients in need of logistics and transportation services.
o Conduct market research and competitor analysis to develop effective sales strategies.
Sales Presentations:
o Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
o Showcase the company's capabilities, services, and value proposition.
Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
o Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and issues.
Quoting and Proposals:
o Prepare accurate and competitive quotations and proposals based on client requirements.
o Collaborate with the operations and pricing teams to ensure the feasibility of services offered.
Negotiation and Closing:
Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients.
Close sales deals and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
Market Expansion:
Explore opportunities to expand the company's market presence and services.
Identify new niches or industries that could benefit from our logistics solutions.
Performance Tracking:
o Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends.
o Develop and implement strategies for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Customer Service:
o Provide excellent customer service, address client concerns, and resolve issues promptly.
Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and client interactions.
o Prepare regular reports for management.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
• 2 years proven experience in B2B sales and business development within the logistics or transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of logistics services, supply chain management, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using sales software and tools.
• Goal-oriented and results-driven mindset.
• Willingness to travel and meet with clients as necessary.
