Job Description of Sales Engineer
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to support our business growth by combining strong technical expertise with consultative selling. This role plays a critical part in translating client requirements into effective product and technology solutions, supporting the sales process from pre-sales through deal closure.
Location: Kudlu Gate, Bengaluru
Work Mode: Work from Office
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift Timing: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Work Week: Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
Work alongside the sales team to understand client business challenges and recommend suitable Orbit Core Tech products and IT solutions.
Deliver product demonstrations, solution walkthroughs, and technical presentations for Orbit Care, Orbit Learn, Orbit HRMS, and Orbit Connect.
Design solution architectures aligned with customer needs, scalability, and security requirements.
Support pre-sales activities including RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, and cost estimations.
Act as the technical point of contact during customer discussions, addressing queries and objections.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to validate solution feasibility and timelines.
Support smooth transition from sales to delivery through detailed technical handovers.
Track market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies relevant to Orbit Core Tech.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor / Master Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or any technical discipline.
2-6 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales, or Technical Consulting role.
Strong understanding of software products, SaaS platforms, cloud-based solutions, or enterprise IT services.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills.
Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with CRM tools and structured sales processes.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
