An HDFC Sales Officer's primary responsibility is to achieve sales targets for financial products, build and maintain relationships with customers and partners, and ensure compliance with regulations. Key activities include lead generation, cross-selling a range of financial products like insurance and banking services, managing customer accounts, and reporting business progress to their supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Target Achievement:
Drive sales of various financial products, including insurance, mortgages, and banking services, to meet predefined business targets.
Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Generate new customer leads, explain product offerings, and build strong relationships with customers to identify their financial needs and sell accordingly.
Cross-Selling & Account Servicing:
Cross-sell various financial products to existing customers and manage their existing portfolios, including coordinating with teams for post-sales service.
Partner & Channel Management:
Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as Home Loan Executives, Channel Partners, and DSAs, to drive business.
Product Knowledge & Compliance:
Be fully aware of the products offered, understand competitor offerings, and ensure all sales activities comply with HDFC's norms, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Field Work & Business Development:
Conduct fieldwork and engage in direct sales activities to generate business and expand HDFC's customer base.
Reporting:
Provide market feedback, share reports on business activities, and discuss trends with the reporting manager.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction and relationship building.
Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable financial products.
Good working knowledge of financial products and the ability to handle objections.
