Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the storage and movement of agri commodities across multiple regions using trucks, rakes, and third-party logistics.
- Optimize routing, freight costs, and delivery timelines while ensuring quality and quantity standards.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, documentation, and inventory traceability.
Process Ownership & Control
- Oversee the entire operations cycle from procurement to payment and sales to collections, ensuring accountability, timeliness, and accuracy at each stage.
- Define and implement SOPs across the value chain with a focus on efficiency and cost control.
- Drive ERP and technology adoption for visibility and control of operations.
Storage & Inventory Management
- Manage warehousing operations including quality checks, stock audits, fumigation, and FIFO/FEFO practices.
- Develop partnerships with storage providers and ensure infrastructure aligns with seasonal and geographic demand.
Team & Vendor Management
- Lead cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, inventory, and accounts operations.
- Build a robust vendor and transporter network; ensure contract compliance and performance monitoring.
Financial & Performance Monitoring
- Track key operational KPIs turnaround time, freight cost per ton, inventory holding cost, payment cycle, collection efficiency, etc.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure timely payments and collections aligned with credit norms and risk policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 2+ years of relevant experience in agri commodities, especially in large-scale logistics and storage.
- Deep understanding of road logistics, warehousing practices, and procurement models in agri sector.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- High process orientation with a track record of implementing scalable systems and workflows.
Preferred :
- Experience working with FPOs, mandis, and large institutional buyers.
- Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, seasonal demand-driven environments.
