As a Bima Sakhi or Insurance Advisor, you will serve as a community-based financial advisor under LIC’s flagship initiative aimed at increasing insurance penetration, empowering women (for Bima Sakhi), and promoting financial literacy. Your role will involve promoting LIC’s insurance products, providing tailored financial advice to individuals and families, and ensuring seamless policy servicing.
Promotion and Sales:
Educate individuals, families, and self-help groups (SHGs) about the importance of life insurance.
Promote and sell LIC insurance products suited to clients’ needs.
Generate leads through community networking and door-to-door interaction.
Customer Servicing:
Assist policyholders with documentation, premium payments, claims, and policy servicing.
Regularly follow up with clients for renewals and new business opportunities.
Community Engagement (for Bima Sakhi):
Work primarily in rural/semi-urban areas with women-centric SHGs or communities.
Act as a bridge between LIC and the local community to enhance trust and communication.
Training and Compliance:
Attend mandatory training and certification programs organized by LIC.
Ensure compliance with IRDAI guidelines and LIC’s ethical standards.
Minimum Qualification: 10th pass (varies by region)
Age: 18 years and above
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for serving the community and interest in financial services
For Bima Sakhi: Preference given to women candidates from SHGs or rural areas
