The Area Sales Officer will be responsible for driving B2B sales of HDPE pipes, expanding the customer base, developing distributor/dealer networks, and ensuring sales targets are met within the assigned territory. The role involves business development, client relationship management, and market expansion.
Business Development & Sales
Identify and approach potential B2B clients such as contractors, builders, government departments, infrastructure companies, and industrial buyers.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Generate new business opportunities and increase market share in the assigned territory.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong business relationships with existing and new clients.
Regularly meet clients for product presentations, negotiations, and order finalization.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Dealer & Distributor Network Management
Appoint and manage distributors/dealers for HDPE pipe sales.
Support channel partners with product training, marketing materials, and sales assistance.
Ensure proper stock availability and timely supply to distributors/clients.
Payment & Collection Follow-up
Ensure timely collection of payments from clients and distributors.
Coordinate with the accounts team for payment tracking and outstanding clearance.
Order & Dispatch Coordination
Coordinate with production and logistics teams for timely order processing and dispatch.
Monitor supply chain efficiency and resolve dispatch-related issues.
Market Research & Reporting
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
Share regular sales reports, customer feedback, and market intelligence with management.
Suggest strategies to increase product penetration in the region.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of HDPE pipes / plastic pipes industry preferred.
B2B sales experience (construction, infrastructure, water supply, or related industries).
Ability to manage distributor/dealer networks.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and willing to travel extensively.
Graduate (preferably in Business/Engineering/Science).
2–5 years of experience in B2B sales of pipes, construction materials, or industrial products.
