Job Title: Storekeeper

Department: Store

Reports To: Purchasing Manager

Location: VGP Golden Beach Resort

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

Receive and inspect all incoming goods and supplies, ensuring they meet quality and quantity standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the hotel's Material Management System (MMS).

Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to maintain par levels.

Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.

Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize waste and loss.

Issuing and Distribution

Issue goods and supplies to authorized personnel based on approved requisitions.

Ensure that all issued items are properly documented and tracked.

Coordinate with various departments to fulfil their inventory needs promptly.

Storage and Organization

Store goods in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all storage areas in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Implement proper storage practices to prevent spoilage and damage, including adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.

Documentation and Reporting

Prepare and maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and stock levels.

Generate regular reports on inventory status, consumption, and discrepancies for management review.

Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual inventory reports.

Compliance and Safety

Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of inventory management.

Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues promptly to the relevant department heads.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a storekeeping or inventory management role, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.

Work Hours: 9 hours
