Responsibilities:
Receiving and inspection: Inspect all incoming materials for accuracy in quantity and quality, and check for damages or discrepancies before reconciling them with purchase orders.
Inventory management: Maintain accurate stock records, track inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and records.
Storage and organization: Store materials in their designated, appropriate locations, ensuring they are kept in good condition and organized in a neat, orderly, and safe manner.
Issuing and distribution: Dispense requested materials, document the issuance, and ensure proper procedures are followed for all stock movements.
Ordering and replenishment: Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions for replenishment when items fall below minimum limits.
Documentation: Maintain all necessary documents, including purchase orders, bin cards, and stock reports. Generate reports on inventory status and discrepancies.
Safety and compliance: Ensure the store is clean and that all operations comply with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of goods.
Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and vendors regarding orders and deliveries, and work with other departments to support logistics and operational efficiency.
