Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.

  • Implement proper inventory control methods (FIFO, LIFO, etc.).

  • Monitor stock levels and prepare reorder requirements in advance.

• Material Handling & Storage

  • Ensure safe storage and proper identification of raw materials, consumables, spares, and finished goods.

  • Maintain segregation of materials as per category and specification.

  • Ensure materials are issued only against authorized requisitions.

• Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain stock registers, GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), issue slips, and other store documents.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.

  • Coordinate with accounts/finance for reconciliation of stock records.

• Coordination

  • Liaise with purchase, production, and quality departments for smooth flow of materials.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and transporters for material receipt.

  • Support production teams by ensuring timely availability of required materials.

• Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure adherence to company policies regarding material handling.

  • Facilitate internal and external audits by maintaining updated records.

  • Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and security of store premises.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of storekeeping, inventory, and warehouse management practices.

• Familiarity with ERP/Inventory Management Software (SAP, Tally, etc.).

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational ability.

• Knowledge of safety standards in material handling.
