Job Purpose

To deliver focused and engaging retail training in gems and jewellery sales for BPL youth, equipping them with the technical and soft skills necessary for a successful career in the gems and jewellery retail sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and assess practical training modules on gems & jewellery product knowledge, sales, customer handling, and retail etiquette.

• Design lesson plans, activities, and simulation exercises tailored for entry-level BPL youth, ensuring job readiness and confidence.

• Instruct on effective retail sales techniques, customer engagement strategies, merchandising, and workplace professionalism.

• Integrate real-world case studies and scenarios from the retail sector into classroom and hands-on training.

• Ensure students understand product offerings, communicate features and benefits, and handle client objections.

• Mentor and motivate trainees, providing feedback, guidance, and personal development support throughout the course.

• Maintain detailed attendance, assessment, and placement readiness reports as per organizational and donor requirements.

• Align training curriculum and sessions with current industry standards and employer needs.

• Support the mobilization and placement teams in selecting and monitoring students for employment/placement outcomes.

• Participate in outreach events, job fairs, and employer meets as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline; certification in retail training, gems & jewellery, or instructional design (preferred).

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail, sales training, or jewellery sector, preferably with BPL youth or skilling programs.

• Strong product and retail knowledge in gems & jewellery sector, with excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse backgrounds and entry-level learners.

• Fluent communication skills in Hindi, English, and local languages.

• Passion for social impact, youth empowerment, and skill development.

• Immediate joiners will be preferred.
