Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to promote the company’s range of exotic vegetables.
- Analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Set annual sales and marketing targets and monitor progress toward achieving them.
2. Market Research:
- Conduct thorough market research to understand consumer preferences and trends in the exotic vegetable market.
- Gather and analyze data on customer demographics, interests, and purchasing behavior to inform strategic decisions.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, including online and retail sectors.
3. Brand Management:
- Develop and maintain the brand identity and ensure consistency across all marketing materials and channels.
- Create and oversee marketing campaigns (digital, print, social media, etc.) to enhance brand visibility and product awareness.
- Collaborate with creative teams to design promotional materials, packaging, and advertisements.
4. Sales Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and improve performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers to strengthen partnerships.
- Implement sales strategies that enhance the customer experience and increase sales conversion rates.
5. Customer Engagement:
- Create and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and develop strategies to attract new customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries and feedback promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Organize and participate in promotional events, trade shows, and tastings to engage customers and showcase products.
6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with the product development team to align marketing strategies with product offerings.
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and inventory management.
- Coordinate with finance and management on budgeting for marketing initiatives and tracking ROI.
7. Performance Analysis:
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, marketing campaign effectiveness, and market trends.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure and report on customer data and trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agricultural Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in sales and marketing, preferably within the agricultural or food industry.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer preferences, especially regarding exotic vegetables.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, CRM software, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
