Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Executive to join our team at DMart. This versatile role involves assisting shoppers, processing transactions, promoting sales, and ensuring smooth operations across various retail functions including sales assistance, cashiering, inventory handling, packing, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

• Greet and engage customers warmly, understand their needs, and assist with product selection.

• Offer detailed product information including features, benefits, pricing, and availability.

• Promote current offers, upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales.

• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and customer-friendly store environment.

• Handle product returns, complaints, and customer queries professionally.

Cashiering & Billing

• Operate billing systems or POS terminals to process customer purchases accurately.

• Manage different modes of payment (cash, cards, UPI, etc.).

• Ensure accurate billing, apply applicable discounts/offers, and provide receipts.

Inventory & Store Management

• Stock shelves and racks with new inventory; rotate stock to maintain freshness.

• Track incoming and outgoing stock; report discrepancies to the store manager.

• Maintain inventory records and assist in periodic stock audits.

Purchase & Procurement Assistance

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for purchase-related activities.

• Assist in managing purchase orders and following up on deliveries.

• Help identify low-stock items and report purchase needs.

Packing & Dispatch

• Carefully pack products for customers or for deliveries.

• Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and handling of products to avoid damage.

Godown/Warehouse Management

• Maintain cleanliness and order in the godown/store room.

• Monitor stock movement in the warehouse; assist in unloading and organizing goods.

• Ensure safety compliance in handling and storage of goods.

Job Requirements

• Minimum education: 10TH PASS

• Experience: FRESHER- 5 YEARS in retail/sales/customer service (preferred).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask across billing, customer service, stocking, and inventory.

• Basic knowledge of billing systems and inventory management.

• Physically fit to handle stock and movement of products when required.

• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as per retail requirements.
