JOB TITLE: Laundry Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Laundry Manager is responsible for running laundry departments day to day operations and also to deliver an excellent Guest experience while managing stock ordering and supplier relationships.
Additional responsibilities include, up keeping training, performance evaluations, scheduling and supervising the personnel within the department.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Laundry Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laundry facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laundry management, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a Laundry Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of laundry staff, ensuring that all laundry processes are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure. You will need to have excellent communication skills to liaise with other departments and ensure that all laundry services meet the needs of our clients.
Laundry Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Developing and putting into operation the current system and technical advancement in the field of Laundry operations.
2. Formulating washing formula for stained loads.
3. Ensuring the washing of linen and uniform as per standard.
4. Maintenance and upkeep of all laundry equipment.
5. Co-ordinating with the Engineering Department about their routine maintenance of the equipment.
6. Preparing Annual Laundry Budget.
7. Develop new methods for increasing laundry efficiency.
8. Coordinate with the maintenance team for outstanding repairs of machinery.
9. Overall controlling and supervision of the Department.
10. Training and coordination with supporting Departments.
11. Record and monitor laundry cost.
12. Make reports and recommendations when required.
13. Oversee the laundry equipment preventive maintenance program.
14. Approve distribution of linen to guestrooms and food and beverage department areas.
15. Direct all Laundry staff.
16. Approve the Laundry staff duty roster.
17. Organizing training for the staff.
18. Hire and train new laundry staffs.
19. Experience in team management.
20. Should be familiar with computers and hotel applications.
21. Plan and judge for uniform replacement.
22. To ensure the uniform room inspects all uniforms daily for replacement and damage.
23. Provide other duties and services as assigned by the Executive housekeeper.
24. Conduct weekly departmental meetings with supervisors.
25. Oversee daily laundry operations and ensure efficiency.
26. Manage and train laundry staff.
27. Maintain and service laundry equipment.
28. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
29. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
30. Develop and implement laundry processes and procedures.
31. Monitor quality control and ensure high standards are met.
32. Coordinate with other departments to meet laundry needs.
33. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
34. Prepare reports on laundry operations and performance.
35. Ensure timely delivery of laundry services.
36. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
37. Conduct regular inspections of laundry facilities.
38. Maintain records of laundry operations and inventory.
39. Ensure proper handling and care of all fabrics and materials.
40. Handling B2B and B2C Customers
PREREQUISITES:
Excellent communication and organizational skills with Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities. Highly responsible & reliable and also ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues.

Must be graduate with male preferably only from Chennai location or ECR at the age group from 25 to 50 minimum Exp 10 years required Experience Commercial laundry Experience or Retail laundry store Industry good Knowledge in Laundry Required ability to Handle Individually should be a Team Leader
Salary 30k to 35k
