Job Title: Placement Officer – Skill Development Programs

Vastukul is seeking a proactive, student-focused Placement Officer with a mission-driven approach to ensure 100% placement of all skill development graduates in appropriate job roles across the construction and renewable energy sectors. This role requires deep engagement with students, training content, and employers to ensure that every learner is matched with a job that aligns with their skills, interests, and growth potential.
The ideal candidate will not only have excellent relationship-building skills and a strong understanding of recruitment practices, but also a genuine commitment to empowering students from underserved communities through meaningful employment.
Drive placement for all graduating students from trades such as construction, masonry, carpentry, solar energy, and architecture.
Understand each course curriculum in detail and match student profiles with suitable job roles.
Create individual placement plans by assessing student aptitude, interest, and training performance.
Conduct one-on-one sessions to understand student backgrounds, preferences, and challenges.
Guide students through resume building, mock interviews, personality development, and career counselling.
Track student aspirations and ensure job offers align with their potential and course learnings.
Build and sustain partnerships with industries, contractors, builders, and solar companies.
Clearly present Vastukul’s student capabilities and training strengths to employers.
Design customized employer decks and presentations, highlighting job readiness and practical skills.
Coordinate and execute placement drives, both on-campus and at employer sites.
Maintain detailed placement dashboards showing the progress of each student until they are placed.
Track job satisfaction, salary offered, role clarity, and post-placement feedback from employers.
Ensure transparent reporting and documentation of placement success stories and data.
Collaborate with trainers to adjust soft skills and technical training based on industry feedback.
Act as the feedback bridge between employers and the training team to continually improve job readiness.
Research local and national job trends to explore emerging job roles relevant to the skillsets being offered.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in placement, recruitment, or HR, preferably in the skill development or education sector.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills with industries and employers.
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
Ability to track student data, use MS Excel, and prepare structured reports.
A people-first, mission-aligned attitude with the ability to work closely with youth from diverse backgrounds.
Experience in conducting or supporting campus placements or recruitment fairs.
Knowledge of construction, vocational, or renewable energy job roles.
Empathy, patience, and strong motivational skills to work with first-generation learners.
Fluent in Hindi and English.
