🧑💼 About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Executive to join our team in the construction sector. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in recruitment, compliance, payroll, and workforce management, especially in handling skilled and unskilled labour for construction projects.
✅ Roles and Responsibilities of an HR in a Construction Company
1. Recruitment & Hiring
· Identify manpower needs for different construction projects (engineers, site supervisors, labourers, etc.).
· Conduct recruitment drives, interviews, and onboarding processes.
· Maintain a database of workers, skilled and unskilled.
2. Attendance & Payroll Management
· Maintain daily attendance records for all staff and labour.
· Calculate salaries, overtime, leaves, and deductions.
· Manage payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursement.
3. Labour Law Compliance
· Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws such as: Minimum Wages Act, Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Bonus Act, etc.
· Maintain all statutory registers and submit returns as required.
4. Training & Development
· Organize safety training, technical upskilling, and awareness sessions.
· Educate workers on PPE usage, first aid, and emergency response.
· Conduct onboarding training for new hires.
5. Employee Welfare
· Ensure basic facilities at site: drinking water, sanitation, resting area, first-aid, etc.
· Handle employee grievances and resolve conflicts.
· Create a safe and supportive working environment.
6. Performance Appraisal
· Evaluate staff and worker performance periodically.
· Recommend promotions, salary hikes, or performance improvement plans.
7. Discipline and Compliance
· Implement rules and regulations at site.
· Manage attendance issues, misconduct, and ensure a disciplined workforce.
· Issue warnings, memos, and take disciplinary actions if required.
8. Documentation and Record Keeping
· Maintain records like offer letters, ID proofs, contract agreements, salary slips, etc.
· Prepare HR reports for audits and management review.
9. Workforce Planning
· Plan manpower deployment for different sites and shifts.
· Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure adequate manpower.
10. Health & Safety Oversight
· Ensure workers follow safety protocols.
· Coordinate with safety officers to reduce accidents on site.
Office Timing
· Office Timing: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (Monday to Saturday)
