Role Overview
The HR Payroll & Recruiter will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations and driving recruitment activities to ensure timely onboarding of skilled drivers, pilots, operations staff, and back-office employees. The role requires strong attention to detail, compliance with statutory regulations, and the ability to source and attract talent suited for the fast-paced logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll Management
End-to-end payroll processing for staff, drivers, and contractual employees.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, leave, overtime, and incentive payouts.
Manage statutory compliances including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, and TDS.
Process full & final settlements for resigning employees.
Coordinate with finance for salary disbursement on time.
Handle reimbursements, allowances, and driver incentive schemes.
Ensure confidentiality of payroll data and compliance with company policies.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Source candidates through job portals, social media, employee referrals, and local networks.
Recruit for all levels: Drivers, Supervisors, Operations Executives, Mechanics, and Office Staff.
Coordinate and conduct interviews (telephonic, virtual, and face-to-face).
Liaise with village panchayats, driver unions, and local agencies for bulk driver hiring.
Ensure pre-joining documentation, background verification, and KYC collection.
Maintain a robust pipeline of candidates for urgent project deployments.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliances, and HR policies.
Hands-on experience with HRMS/Payroll software (e.g., GreytHR, Zoho People, or similar).
Excellent sourcing and recruitment skills, especially in blue-collar workforce hiring.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (local language proficiency preferred).
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment with tight deadlines.
Qualification & Experience
Graduate / MBA in HR, Payroll Management, or related field.
3–6 years of experience in HR Payroll and Recruitment (preferably in logistics/transportation).
Experience in managing driver recruitment and statutory compliance is highly desirable.
