Key responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process to attract and hire qualified staff, and oversee a smooth onboarding process.
Employee Relations:
Act as a liaison between management and staff, addressing grievances, resolving conflicts, and managing disciplinary actions.
Compliance:
Ensure the hospital complies with all relevant healthcare regulations and employment laws.
Policy and Strategy:
Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures. Create and execute HR strategies aligned with the hospital's objectives.
Performance Management:
Oversee the performance appraisal system, conduct performance reviews, and work with managers to support staff development.
Compensation and Benefits:
Manage the compensation structure and benefits programs, including conducting wage reviews and administering benefits.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills and engagement.
HR Administration:
Maintain employee records and HR data systems, and handle necessary administrative duties.
Work Environment:
Foster a positive and constructive work environment and lead employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required, with a postgraduate degree often preferred.
Proven HR experience, with several years in a management or leadership role.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and employment law.
Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in leading teams, conducting training, and managing performance.
