Job Title: HR Senior Payroll Executive
Location: Chetpet, Chennai
Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹60,000 per month

Maintain and update employee master data in HRMS; ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
Manage attendance, leave, and shift rosters; ensure correct mapping to payroll cycles.
Generate standard and ad-hoc HR reports (attendance, leave balances, headcount, turnover, performance snapshots).
Configure and support employee self-service (profiles, leave applications, payslip access).
Coordinate with HRMS vendor/IT for user creation, access control, issue resolution, upgrades, and new feature rollouts.
Conduct periodic audits of HRMS data; rectify discrepancies and document changes.
End-to-end monthly payroll processing for on-roll employees—inputs collation, validation, processing, and review.
Ensure accurate statutory deductions & filings: PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS, LWF (as applicable).
Manage earnings/deductions: overtime, incentives, arrears, LOP, reimbursements, advances, full & final settlements.
Validate and reconcile payroll inputs: attendance, leave, OT, shifts, variable pay, and policy-based adjustments.
Prepare and share payroll registers, bank disbursement statements, and statutory challans.
Handle query resolution for employees (payslips, tax, deductions, reimbursements) within defined SLAs.
Maintain audit-ready records and ensure timely statutory returns and compliance documentation.
Support hiring coordination: job postings, screening, interview scheduling, offer documentation, and onboarding.
Assist in performance management cycle: goal setting, mid-year/annual reviews, and data collation.
Support employee relations: grievance handling, counseling, disciplinary documentation as per policy.
Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and training coordination (attendance, feedback, MIS).
Manage separations: exit formalities, documentation, F&F, and exit interviews with timely closure.
Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and labor laws across HR processes.
Maintain up-to-date HR records (digital & physical) with proper indexing and retention.
Assist in drafting/updating HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks; circulate updates and track acknowledgments.
Stay current on labor law changes and HRMS enhancements; highlight impacts and implement updates.
Support internal/external audits—prepare data packs, respond to queries, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with finance, legal, and external consultants for compliance, audits, and statutory submissions.
Bachelor’s degree in HR / Business Administration or related field.
4+ years of hands-on experience in Payroll Processing & Statutory Compliance.
Practical exposure to HRMS platforms (e.g., SAP/SuccessFactors, Workday, ADP, greytHR, etc.).
Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR operational practices.
Proficient in MS Excel/Google Sheets for payroll validations & reporting.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and high integrity & confidentiality.
Experience in Fashion Retail/Apparel or multi-location payroll environments.
Exposure to HR analytics/MIS and process automation.
Ability to document SOPs, improve processes, and train end users.
