Job Title: Career Counsellor

Job Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Career Counsellor to guide individuals who are actively looking for jobs. The counsellor will assess candidates' profiles, suggest the right career or training path, and help them understand the job market trends. You will play a key role in helping job seekers build confidence and get placed successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with freshers, graduates, and experienced professionals

• Understand candidate goals, skills, and challenges through structured conversations

• Recommend suitable job roles, training programs, and career pathways

• Follow up regularly with potential candidates to assist them in decision-making

• Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and interests

• Work with the placement team to connect skilled candidates with job openings

• Handle both online (telephonic/Zoom) and offline walk-in consultations

Required Skills:

• Excellent communication and listening skills

• Strong interpersonal and empathy skills

• Good knowledge of IT, BPO, and technical/non-technical job markets

• Ability to guide and motivate candidates with different backgrounds

• Organized and proactive in following up with leads and maintaining records

• Comfortable using basic computer tools like MS Excel, CRM, and email

Qualifications:

• Graduate in any discipline

• 0 to 3 years of experience in counselling, recruitment, or HR roles

• Freshers with good communication skills and interest in counselling can also apply
