The Media Relations Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets to enhance Sevalaya’s public image, increase visibility of its initiatives, and ensure effective communication of its mission and impact to the wider public.
Develop and implement media outreach strategies to promote Sevalaya’s programs and campaigns.
Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, and media professionals across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and feature stories highlighting Sevalaya’s initiatives and achievements.
Coordinate media coverage for events, program launches, and press conferences.
Monitor media coverage and prepare regular reports on media engagement and outcomes.
Manage Sevalaya’s media database and maintain updated records of key media contacts.
Support the communications team with content development for newsletters, websites, and social media.
Ensure consistent messaging and alignment with Sevalaya’s communication goals.
Any Educational Qualification
1–5 years of experience in Admin or any other field.
Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR software is an advantage.
