Job Summary:

The OHC Staff Nurse is responsible for providing medical care, first aid, and health education to employees within an industrial or corporate setting. The role focuses on ensuring workplace health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, and promoting overall employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and emergency medical care in case of workplace accidents or illnesses.

• Administer prescribed medications and vaccinations as directed by the company physician.

• Monitor and manage occupational health risks, including exposure to hazardous substances.

• Collaborate with safety officers and HR to ensure compliance with occupational health regulations.

• Support in pre-employment and periodic medical check-ups for employees.

• Assist in workplace health risk assessments and suggest preventive measures.

• Ensure the OHC is well-stocked with medical supplies and equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Diploma/B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.

• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or occupational health setup.

• Certification: Valid nursing license/registration with the appropriate medical board.

• Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of first aid, emergency care, and workplace safety.

  • Ability to handle medical emergencies efficiently.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

• Additional Preferences: Training in occupational health nursing or industrial safety is an advantage.
