An Animal Welfare Outreach (OT) Incharge is responsible for leading outreach initiatives focused on promoting animal welfare, educating communities, and implementing programs to improve animal care and welfare. Here's a job description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Outreach Leadership: Lead animal welfare outreach programs, including educational workshops, community events, and awareness campaigns.
2. Community Engagement: Engage with local communities, schools, and other stakeholders to promote animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
3. Program Development: Develop and implement outreach strategies to address specific animal welfare issues in the community.
4. Collaboration: Work with veterinarians, animal shelters, NGOs, and government agencies to enhance outreach impact.
5. Education and Awareness: Create and distribute educational materials on animal welfare, care, and responsible ownership.
6. Volunteer Management: Coordinate and manage volunteers for outreach activities and events.
7. Reporting and Evaluation: Monitor and report on outreach activities, assessing their impact and effectiveness.
Requirements:
1. Education: Degree in animal science, veterinary science, biology, or a related field.
2. Experience: Experience in animal welfare, outreach, or community engagement.
3. Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Organizational and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of animal welfare principles and practices.
Work Environment:
1. Fieldwork: Conduct outreach activities, workshops, and events in various community settings.
