Job Title: Assistant Manager – Operations

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Operations is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s daily administrative and operational activities. The role involves ensuring smooth workflow across various departments, improving patient care services, and implementing policies to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations & Administration:

• Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of hospital departments (OPD, IPD, Billing, Pharmacy, etc.).

• Ensure smooth patient flow and minimal waiting time.

• Coordinate with different departments to maintain operational efficiency.

• Monitor hospital infrastructure, equipment, and facility management.

2. Patient Care & Service Excellence:

• Ensure high-quality patient experience and grievance resolution.

• Work closely with nursing and medical staff to improve service delivery.

• Monitor patient feedback and take corrective actions for service improvement.

3. Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, medical regulations, and government healthcare guidelines.

• Coordinate with NABH/NABL teams for audits and compliance.

• Maintain hospital safety standards, including infection control and emergency response readiness.

4. Staff Management & Coordination:

• Assist in workforce planning, staff scheduling, and training programs.

• Supervise non-medical staff (housekeeping, security, front desk, etc.).

• Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.

5. Financial & Resource Management:

• Monitor operational expenses and support cost-saving initiatives.

• Assist in budgeting, procurement, and vendor management.

• Ensure proper billing, insurance claims processing, and revenue cycle management.

6. Technology & Data Management:

• Support hospital IT systems (HIS, EMR, etc.) and ensure efficient data management.

• Generate reports on hospital operations, patient statistics, and service efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s in Hospital Administration (BHA/MHA) or related field.

• Experience: 3-5 years in hospital operations or healthcare management.

• Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, multitasking, communication, and analytical skills.

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with hospital management software, healthcare compliance, and quality assurance.

Work Conditions:

• Rotational shifts may be required, including weekends and emergencies.

• Coordination with medical and non-medical teams for seamless hospital operations.
